FAQ's
Below are a list of frequently asked questions but if you have any further questions please email us at hello@proyarnstudio.com
Q. Do I need to wash the completed lambswool kit/project I made at the end to fluff up and soften the fibres?
A. Yes, our lambswool is an oiled yarn and needs to be washed to remove the oils out and fluff up (bloom) the fibres. Rule of thumb is: Longer/Hotter wash = MORE felting. Cooler/Gentler wash = LESS felting. Add a tea towel or similar in the wash to increase the felting. Expect up to +/- 10% shrinkage depending on the level of felting you decided on. Extreme felting can have a higher level of shrinkage.
Q. Can I felt your yarn.
A. Yes, you can create some really interesting effects with our yarn, you can felt it either by hand or in the washing machine.
